The JW Patterson Invitational Debates at Heritage Hall

2017 — Oklahoma City, OK/US

The Tournament is cancelled due to weather problems in Oklahoma this weekend. We will still have the tournament this semester and expect to have the new dates posted within a week.

Dear Colleagues,

Heritage Hall School cordially invites you the 6th annual J.W. Patterson Invitational Debates.  This year we will be offering a varsity policy division (TOC finals bid and Baker points), novice policy and Lincoln-Douglas divisions.  This year we will continue to have mutual preference judging in the varsity policy division and hire a number of qualified judges to improve the quality and depth of the judging pool.  We also believe tournaments should have adequate pre-round coaching time and enforce judge and debater participation in the NDCA wiki and judge philosophy wiki.

The tournament will be held at Heritage Hall’s 105-acre campus at 1800 North West 122nd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The goal of this tournament is to provide quality debates, superior hospitality, and to honor Oklahomans who have shaped and molded academic debate.  The tournament is named after Dr. J.W. Patterson, native Oklahoman and founder of the Tournament of Champions.  We hope to provide an enjoyable tournament experience with quality judging and hospitality.  We would love for you to join us.

Sincerely,

Bryan Gaston
